I’m going to keep this short and sweet so you can just get to the cooking and eating. I want to send a big thank you and virtual hug to our family friend Dette for this recipe!

Air Fried Pork Belly

  • For 3-4 Pork Belly Logs

The Marinade

◦1/2 cup soy sauce (Datu Puti or Markang Pina brand)

◦1/2 cup of vinegar (I used Apple Cider vinegar)

◦4 bay leaves

◦1 whole garlic clove or 1 tablespoon granulated garlic

◦1/4 tsp black pepper

◦1/2 crushed ginger (optional)

◦1 tablespoon sugar (optional)

Preparation

1. Poke holes in the pork.

2. Submerge in marinade.

3. Refrigerate for 48 hours.

  • Remove from refrigerator and marinade.

  • Pat the pork dry using a paper towel.

  • Allow pork to come to room temperature.

Cook Time

Air fry at 400 degrees for 25 mins. Allow it to cook for first 10 mins. Check on pork then cook for another 8 mins. Once the pork is brown, check on it then cook for another 5 mins. Make sure the pork isn’t burnt. Allow it to cook for remaining 2 minutes.

Internal pork temperature should be at least 145 degrees.

Remove from air fryer and allow to cool.

How We Eat It

Slice and serve with a soy sauce, vinegar, garlic 🧄 and onion 🧅 mixture and a side of hot rice. Pickled veggies or some stir fried cabbage 🥬 are also delicious.
